Shaktipat is the direct transmission of Kundalini energy from an awakened practitioner to another person. It is one of the oldest and most direct methods of spiritual initiation across the traditions of India. The word means, literally, the descent of grace.
It is not a technique. There is nothing to practise, visualise, or understand beforehand. The transmission initiates a process in the recipient's energetic system that can take years to reach through solo meditation or breathwork alone. For most people, it represents the difference between reading about what awakening means and actually feeling the Kundalini energy move.
Maxime's own Kundalini awakening was spontaneous — no teacher, no lineage, no prior initiation. The capacity to transmit arose from within the awakening itself as it completed. He now works with others through direct sessions, both in person at the Lyran practice in Tewantin and remotely to clients across Australia and internationally.
You come to the practice. The session is 90 minutes. You may lie or sit. The transmission passes through proximity. Some people experience strong Kriyas, involuntary movements, or deep stillness. All responses are valid.
A scheduled time. You sit or lie comfortably at home. No video call is required. The transmission operates across distance without loss of strength. Remote sessions produce the same range of experiences as in-person work.
For those who want to begin the Kundalini process with momentum rather than a single initiation. Three sessions spaced across two to four weeks. The Kundalini energy builds between sessions. Each session opens what the previous one made available.
A direct initiation or a deepening of what is already moving. Appropriate for those who want to experience Shaktipat before committing to continued work, or for those returning for a specific deepening at any stage of their path.
No prior experience is required. The Kundalini energy transmitted through Shaktipat works intelligently within whatever system it enters. People with decades of practice and complete beginners have both had strong responses to the same session. The energy goes where it needs to go.
The Kundalini process initiated by Shaktipat continues in the days and weeks following the session. You may notice increased sensitivity, spontaneous moments of stillness, or the surfacing of material that is ready to clear. A follow-up session within two to four weeks typically deepens what was opened in the first.
Shaktipat with an experienced practitioner is safe. The transmission works within the recipient's own capacity and readiness. Maxime has worked with students across a wide range of backgrounds and energetic systems. If there are specific health concerns or psychiatric history, these can be discussed before a session to ensure appropriate pacing.
